Diploma in Acting

Course Overview

The one-year Diploma in Film and Theatre Acting at Kantipur Film Academy (KFA) is designed for aspiring actors who want to excel in both film and theatre. This program offers a unique blend of practical training and theoretical knowledge, allowing students to master both forms of acting. You’ll learn essential skills such as voice and speech, characterization, monologue performances, dance, martial arts, and body movement. The course also covers working with cameras, directors, and film crews, giving students hands-on experience in real-world environments. With opportunities to showcase your talent in thesis films and theatre productions, KFA’s own theatre and OTT platform provide the perfect space to build your career. Graduates can pursue acting careers in films, TV shows, theatre, ad films, voice acting, and content creation for platforms like YouTube and TikTok.

Classes run 3 hours a day, Sunday to Friday, plus extra time for rehearsals, auditions, and shooting projects alongside Film Direction students. You’ll train in both film acting and theatre acting, working on drama theatre projects and screen acting. No prior experience is required—freshers are welcome. The program is taught in both English and Nepali. Upon completing the course, students will have worked on several acting projects, including a thesis film and theater performance. These projects are showcased at Kantipur Theatre and Kantipur Cinemas, with special screenings for family, friends, and industry professionals to celebrate their work and provide valuable feedback.
