Ramesh Puri

Ramesh Puri is a creative producer and academic coordinator at Kantipur Film Academy in Kathmandu. With a strong passion for the arts and film education, he has played a key role in managing and promoting various projects at the academy. Among his notable works, he produced Kantipur Theatre’s stage adaptation of Shirishko Phool, based on Parijat’s acclaimed novel — a play that featured actor Jeevan Luitel in the lead role and received wide appreciation from audiences.

Beyond Shirishko Phool, he also produced the acclaimed stage drama Meera, starring Rekha Thapa in her theatrical debut. Both of these plays were staged at Kantipur Theatre and earned recognition for their production quality and impact. Apart from producing, Ramesh contributes significantly to the academy’s operations, including the launch of its Itahari branch and the development of educational and media initiatives like Kantipur Cinemas, an OTT platform. Known for his professionalism and dedication, Ramesh continues to support the growth of Nepal’s creative arts scene by nurturing emerging talents and coordinating impactful projects.
