Dani Karmakar

Dani Karmakar is a playwriter, scholar, actor, workshop Coordinator and artistic director of India. He has founded Rabindra Nagar Natyaayudh, a well-known theatre group based on West Bengal. He is working on this field for 17 years. He has completed his B.A, M.A & M.Phil in Drama from Rabindra Bharati University. He has also qualified UGC NET in performing Arts-Drama. Now he is a State Senior Research Fellow with PH.D in the Department of Drama, Rabindra Bharati University. He has trained under the guidance of many theatre masters like H.Kanhilal, Sabitri Heisnam, Rajendernath, Bhaskar Chandavarkar, Shaktinath Jha, V. Ramamurthy, Ramgopal Bajaj, Dr. Mahendra Kumar, Birjit Naganomba, Bibhas Chakraborty, Rudraprasad Sengupta. He has coordinated many theatre workshops in India and abroad.
